* When did "liberalism" become a dirty word?

So I - for I don't know what reason - listened to some ultra-conservative talk radio yesterday. The radio guy was going on about the evils of University life that turn all this country's good children into liberal psychopaths.

Regarding an article about the person who threw a grenade at President Bush, his big question was: what is it that makes today's youth think that if they disagree with a political leader's policies that we should just kill him?

Well, gee... That concept sounds awfully familiar, but I just can't put my finger on it. Must be something I heard from a liberal professor in college. Yeah, that's it. *dripping sarcasm*
